It takes courage to engage in psychotherapy and counselling in the quest for change, and my humanistic principles ensure we are an equal partnership in the process. I am an integrative psychotherapist, using a combination of theoretical approaches that take account of you as a unique individual and your relationships and contexts. My many years of training and experience in combination mean that I have been able to offer therapy for people with a wide range of presenting issues.

I am an accredited integrative psychotherapist (UKCP,UPCA) with an MSc in integrative psychotherapy.

My additional qualifications are: certificate in relational supervision, masters degree in social work, BSc (hons) degree in psychology and anthropology, postgraduate diploma parent infant psychotherapy, postgraduate diploma infant observation and psychoanalytic studies, foundation training group analysis.I am fully insured and registered with the ICO.

My experience includes working as a university counsellor for students and staff and as a psychotherapist in the voluntary sector.I have worked for Parent Infant Partnerships (PIPS), offering psychotherapy for parents and babies together and in therapy groups. Following my initial training in social work, I worked for many years in the NHS in child and adolescent mental health services and a specialist therapy service for looked after children and their foster carers and adoptive parents.

I regularly undertake training and attend workshops to further my skills and I am a qualified supervisor of counsellors and psychotherapists. I have experience of training psychotherapists, counsellors and related professionals.

Understanding the sociocultural context and challenging my own cultural privelege is a priority. I am committed to further training  and to working creatively and holistically with you. My practice as a psychotherapist is supported by yoga, qigong, mindfulness meditation and being in nature.
